History
Mark Podulka was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio. At the age of 8, his father taught him to take pictures with a vintage Nikon F camera. Together, they processed the film in their converted laundry room of the family home. During high school, Mark was a yearbook photographer who had pictures published in each yearbook during his high school tenure. He graduated North Royalton High School and then attended the University of Dayton where he was awarded a Bachelors of Science in Psychology.
Mark now has 30 years of photography experience, together with the entrance of the digital age of photography and a ton of updates to lighting techniques. He is able to create better, more professional and attractive work in less time than was ever before possible. Mark has worked tirelessly to hone his skills, develop his technique and work to have his photography on several websites and in various publications, including submissions to Sports Illustrated and several local Cleveland publications.
Mark made the decision to pursue photography as a full time career after his wedding photographer had her computer hard drive crash and lost their entire wedding. This little life lesson cost Mark and his wife more than $3,000. They were left with only 12 "professional" photos from their wedding which were proofs that they had ordered prior to the hard drive crash.
Mark wants people to be able to afford photographic memories and, with that in mind, his rates are extremely affordable. Please contact me to discuss your needs.
